"The students will be learning many skills during this short
period of time. We will be working on short skits and monologues , which means your child will most likely be in more than one. The skits and monologues will be dramatic readings, comedy classics along with satire, all age appropriate. These classes are designed to help your child's ability to use teamwork as a way to learn to work with other students. Learning to be in front of other students is great for debating, public speaking, character development, listening and critical thinking which all help problem solving skills"
Classes will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:00pm-3:00pm
I will be holding two classes. One will be on Tuesday and one on Wednesday . I will take up to 10 students per class. We will be working on a variety of skills. Each student will be able to pick out a monologue or skit to be in or both! They will practice memorizing it at home and come each week to tweak it until it's just the way they want it to be.
We will hold a parent night at the end of the course to perform the skits and monologues in front of a live, friendly crowd!
Classes are $20 each week and will begin on Tuesday, June 9th and Wednesday, June 10th and end on July 11th and 12th.
